On August 11th, Lang Langjina and his wife visited Shenzhen Grandsun Electronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Grandsun), a zero carbon enterprise in Longgang, to trace the world's first zero carbon (carbon neutral) headphones and explore the secrets of the zero carbon economy. "I also learned that in order to promote green development in Longgang, policies and measures are very awesome, and the future of low-carbon development is promising." Lang Lang praised Longgang's "green".
Grandsun has indeed put in a lot of effort in building a zero carbon park. It took us 16 years to create this zero carbon garden, and the green coverage rate of the park reached 65%, "said Wu Haiquan, Chairman of Grandsun Electronics. At the 2023 COP28 United Nations Climate Conference, the company was selected as one of the top ten green and low-carbon cases in Shenzhen.
Grandsun Electronics
In order to further achieve the zero carbon goal, Grandsun actively creates green office environments, low-carbon product experience stores, etc., and has obtained sustainable development ESG evaluation certificates through advanced technology equipment such as smart energy systems and solar photovoltaic energy systems. In addition, the factory has achieved zero carbon emissions through international green certification procurement and obtained the certification of zero carbon factory in February this year, enabling the full process low-carbon production of zero carbon (carbon neutral) headphones. The low-carbon concept is embedded in every link from raw material acquisition to product assembly, transportation and sales, ensuring that carbon emissions in the production process are minimized. In the future, enterprises will lead the path of sustainable development with more carbon neutral products.
The Shenzhen International Low Carbon City, where Grandsun is located, is the only key area in Shenzhen named after "low-carbon". Since the planning and construction in 2011, the exploration of urban green development here has been ongoing for more than 10 years.
In recent years, Longgang has built Shenzhen International Low Carbon City into an important window for showcasing the achievements of green and low-carbon development in Shenzhen and even China, and an important platform for the country to carry out carbon diplomacy through the "think tank+forum" model.
Liulian Primary School
In order to deepen the concept of national energy conservation and carbon reduction, Longgang District takes the International Low Carbon City as the core and carries out energy-saving and carbon reduction actions in all aspects of production and life. Five representative scenes, including Pingdi Liulian Primary School, Longgang District Sixth People's Hospital, Pingdi UAV Industrial Park, Grandsun Electronics, and Xinqiao Shiju community, are selected for transformation and demonstration in the area. By improving building energy efficiency, promoting the integrated energy transformation of "source network load storage", advancing digital transformation, and building a unified district level energy and carbon management platform, we can achieve "source opening and cost saving" in the energy sector. At the same time, we will deeply explore the potential of distributed photovoltaic construction in municipal, transportation and other fields, actively promote integrated photovoltaic storage and charging projects, and accelerate the construction of distributed photovoltaic projects.
At present, Longgang District ranks first in the city in terms of the number and scale of photovoltaic grid connections, and has built 80 supercharging stations, ranking second in the city in terms of quantity. It will also make every effort to complete the construction of new energy vehicle charging facilities and assist in the construction of Shenzhen's "Supercharging City".
In recent years, Longgang District has actively responded to the call for green development, vigorously promoted the development of green and low-carbon industries, and explored the path of green development in industrial areas. The industries of new energy, safety, energy conservation and environmental protection, and intelligent connected vehicles have become the leading industries in Longgang District. In 2023, the added value of green and low-carbon industries in Longgang District reached 17.672 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.9%, and the number of large-scale entrepreneurs reached 854 (including 7.26 billion yuan added value in the new energy industry, 6.028 billion yuan added value in safety, energy conservation and environmental protection, and 4.385 billion yuan added value in intelligent connected vehicles).
Industry leaders such as Huawei, BYD, CGN Group, Runshihua, McQuay, CATL, China Energy Conservation Group, Haopeng Technology, and Jiecheng Nickel Cobalt New Energy have been deeply cultivating or investing in Longgang District for many years. The total installed capacity of distributed photovoltaics in 2023 is 91.3 megawatts, with approximately 59000 new energy vehicle charging facilities and 271 centralized charging stations, including 25 supercharging stations, all of which are the largest in the city. Longgang District has formed a relatively complete industrial chain in energy storage, photovoltaics, nuclear energy, new energy vehicles and other fields, highlighting its core competitiveness.
Nowadays, Longgang District has taken the lead in demonstrating a high-quality development path that prioritizes ecology, is green and low-carbon. In the future, through deep empowerment of green and low-carbon, the business card of Longgang Industrial Zone will become brighter and brighter, making green and low-carbon a new engine for economic development.
